Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas Review

Throne of Glass is one of the best series I have ever read in all honesty. Throne of Glass is a book set in a fantasy world ruled by kings. It is about a girl named Celeana Sardothien who is one of the most feared assassins of her time. She has been thrown into a mining jail, which is ultimately, where all royals send people to die, but Celeana survives and almost escapes. She is summoned by the prince of Erilea and offered a way out of the death camp.
In order to keep her freedom, she must compete in a battle, and win as the King’s Champion, the King’s Assassin. I was hooked on this story right from the start; I love books where there is a strong heroine in it.
Throne of Glass is full of action and adventure, but there is also a hint of a love triangle, which does amazing things for the plot of this book. The world building in this book is phenomenal. Maas creates a world that is both magical and terrifying, and you cannot help but love it. Along with the action and adventure, there is also a sense of mystery in this book.
Celeana is a character that I admire and wish to be. She is fierce and strong, but she also has a gentle side. This is the first book in the Throne of Glass series and I cannot wait to see where Maas takes it.
I recommend Throne of Glass to anyone who loved Graceling and Fire by Kristin Cashore or The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson. If you love fantasy worlds similar to that of King Arthur or if you like action, mystery, and a fierce heroine then Throne of Glass is the book for you. Five out of Five stars!
